Tunnel Vision:

Site-specific, electro-acoustic improvised audio drama from the permanent murkers… this set of pieces was recorded on a rainy night in June of 2018 in a resonant tunnel. The music covers a spectrum of textures, rhythms, atmospheres, and energies from the use of trumpet, keyboard, bass clarinet, accordion, cajón and other percussion, and whistling, all given a distinct cohesiveness from the unique acoustic properties of the extended space. Though tunnel vision may be understood as a narrowing of perception and a severance of peripheral sensibilities, our experience in this channel of amplification is one of expansion and transportation; where aural shadows cast new perspectives and sonic negative space is bursting with a presence of past activity. Our Tunnel Vision is kaleidoscopic.
